A remarkable natural landscape in stone, surrounded by silver that seems to grow right out of it.
The Aguaprase Arabesque Necklace features a spectacular 1¾-inch-tall aguaprase gemstone, filled with intricate patterns of earthy brown, soft gray, creamy white, and translucent pale green. Its extraordinary natural inclusions form sweeping bands, delicate lace-like formations, and little pools of color that make the stone feel like an entire landscape.
Inspired by those patterns, I created an elaborate arrangement of hand-forged sterling silver scrolls that curl and sweep asymmetrically around the gemstone. The flowing lines have a distinctly Art Nouveau character, complementing the organic formations within the stone without trying to imitate them exactly.
The silverwork continues around the back of the pendant, creating a sculptural framework that is beautiful from every angle. The stone is securely held in a handcrafted prong setting, allowing its natural patterns to remain the centerpiece.
This substantial pendant hangs from a sturdy 20-inch sterling silver cable chain with a lobster clasp. The pendant is removable, so it can be worn on another chain, and the included chain can be shortened or lengthened upon request.
Bold, intricate, and completely individual, this necklace celebrates the wonderful relationship between natural gemstone formations and handmade metalwork.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
To clean your Mettle by Abby pieces, simply use a soft toothbrush in warm, mild soapy water. This will help remove dirt and oil from the gemstones and make them shine again, as well as keep the silver and gold looking bright and clean.
To polish silver Mettle by Abby pieces, simply buff with a silver polishing cloth. If you really want to give it a shining, you can use a silver polishing cream and then rinse it with water when done.
