I'm Abby Meadows, the metalsmith behind Mettle by Abby, and I design and handcraft my jewelry in Woodstock, Georgia, using natural gemstones, solid 14k gold, and Argentium sterling silver.
New Designs, New Gemstones, New Ideas
I don't work from a fixed catalog of designs. Sometimes a particular gemstone catches my attention and becomes the starting point for something entirely new. Other times, I'm experimenting with a shape, texture, technique, or idea I've been wanting to explore.
The result is an ever-changing collection of handmade gemstone rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. Some pieces are part of a larger collection I've been working on, while others are individual designs that simply needed to be made.
One of a Kind Means One of a Kind
I love making jewelry that feels individual, and the natural variation in gemstones is a big part of that.
Many of the pieces you'll find here are made only once. When one sells, that exact piece is gone. Even when I revisit a favorite design, the individual stones and handmade details give each piece its own character.
